U.S. Department of Energy Website, June 2005, Website of the Month

My Scope: Assistant designer and lead web code developer. This was a total rework of an existing website that was based on traditional table layouts. The project was brought forward to realize modern web standards for markup and Cascading Style Sheets. The redesign respected the original look and feel while achieving the benefits of CSS and web standard design in performance and ease of managing new and legacy content.

BC Hydro Corporate Plaza

Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, 2000, Regional Merit Award

My Scope: Project Landscape Architect. Detailed design, construction budgets, technical drawing coordination with staff and consultants. Among the numerous design opportunities and constraints, this corporate plaza in downtown Vancouver, BC, is split between being a traditional on grade plaza and one that sits on top of an underground parking garage.

Burnaby Mtn. High School

Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, 2001, National Honor Award

My Scope: Project Landscape Architect. Conceptual design through working drawings and construction site supervision for all hard and soft landscape architectural design and recreational elements outside the building. The high school makes extensive use of the sports field for geothermal heating and cooling of the school. The overall site design included an extensive bio-filtration system for storm water management as part of the parking lot design.

Mole Hill Urban Housing

Canadian Society of Landscape Architects 2005, National Honor Award

My Scope: Project Landscape Architect. Conceptual Design through working drawings and construction site supervision for all hard and soft landscape architectural design elements outside the buildings. This unique urban housing project included the redevelopment and restoration of 27 City of Vancouver owned houses in the heart of Vancouver's West End. The project provides 170 units of non-market housing for low income singles, families, seniors and long time residents of the block.
